Abstract
Cases studied were those who were admitted at N.M.C. from January 1, 1983 to December 31, 1986.
Two hundreds¢¥ and forty patients with severe preeclampsia and one hundred and fifty pregnant women for control were studied to examine the relationship of serum uric acid levels.
The result of these studies were summerized as follows :
1) Serum uric acid level was significantly higher in severe preeclampsia compaired to normal control group.
2) Serum creatinine level was no significant difference as far as serum uric acid level was conncerned in severe preeclampsia and normal pregnancies.
3) Apgar score of 1 minute was no significant difference as far as serum uric acid level between both group.
